Fado in the People
The Audience is Our Stage
Fado no Povo is an artistic project dedicated to promoting and disseminating Portuguese musical culture.
Inspired by the tradition of fado and enriched by traditional music, folklore, and repertoires paying homage to major figures in Portuguese music, the project promotes participatory performances that bring artists and communities closer together.
Each performance is conceived as a moment of encounter, remembrance, and celebration of Portuguese culture.
Concept of the Show
Fado no Povo was born from the desire to bring Portuguese music back to the people.
With fado as the soul of the project, the repertoire now intersects with traditional Portuguese music, folklore, and tributes to the great names of our culture, such as Amália Rodrigues, Carlos do Carmo, and José Afonso, among others.
.
More than just a concert, each performance is a moment of sharing, memory, and collective celebration, where artists and audience meet in an atmosphere of closeness and authenticity.
